Did you know that Christine Tindale from the Young Carer Service is also a personal trainer? She’s been busy making exercise videos to keep teenage young carers fit and active.

Christine will be posting a new video every week during the lockdown, so check in regularly for something new. Or, if you like one of the routines in particular, feel free to repeat it regularly.

To add an extra incentive, we’ll be running a Competition every week during lockdown.

Send us a video every time you do one of Christine’s routines. Every week, we’ll give a first and second prize voucher to the young carers who send us the most videos. Get fit, get prizes!

Some important things to remember..... If you are feeling ill or lightheaded stop exercising and take a break. If it continues ring your doctor for advice. If you have any health conditions that maybe affected by exercise, please be cautious and adjust accordingly.

Help support us by going to the video's on youtube and pressing the like button. Thank you!

Welcome to our first exercise video.

It’s a 15-minute ‘Fitness Blast’ and consists of 3 sections of 5 minutes. Each 5 minute section has a 1-minute blast of cardio, arms, legs and abs. You can choose to do 1, 2, or all 3 sections. For the 1-minute blast of cardio, you set the pace as fast or slow as you want.

Christine's Young Carer Stretch Session

Christine's second video is a 10-minute routine that stretches and relaxes the whole body. We work our way around the body stretching and moving. This helps to keep our bodies flexible while working on our balance.

A Ten minute Fitness Fix Routine

This week, Christine's third video is a very easy to follow routine that includes all the body and gives you a quick fitness fix. All you need is some space to move around.
