Young Carer Service Consultation 2020 (parents / guardians)

Covid-19 has had a huge impact on how we’ve been able to support young carers this year. Under normal circumstances, we’d be in group and one-to-one activities together, but we don’t know when we’ll be able to deliver these services again. We’re contacting our young carers and their families to find out what services they think we should try to deliver while we’re still restricted by Covid-19. We’d like to ask you a few questions that will help us to plan the services that we will continue to provide. Your views will be really important in helping us to plan our services for all young carers. They will also help us to apply for more funding to keep our service running. To encourage as many people as possible to reply, every questionnaire completed by November 5th will be entered into a prize draw to win an online shopping voucher. Thanks for your help!!

Young Carer Wellbeing Fund

You might be able to access the Young Carer Wellbeing Fund. This is to purchase items that help young carers to have a break from the caring role. Are there any items that might be useful for the young carer in your home?
Examples of items young cares have had in the past include laptops, tablets, electronic equipment, bikes, scooters, art and craft supplies, short breaks, paying for lessons or club memberships.

We can use the Well Being Fund to help young carers to get online. It can purchase laptops and electronic devices, as well as pay for internet access. This can help young carers to keep up with schoolwork and stay connected with family and friends, as well as access our services.
