I started my career at Carers Trust Tyne and Wear in 1997. I spent 20 very happy years as a Carer Support Worker. In August 2017, a secondment post as Assistant Care Coordinator within the Care Service office became available, so I thought, OK, let’s move out of my comfort zine and give it a try!

On the back of that, I applied for the Care Coordinator post in June 2018 and was successful!

It has been a fast and steep learning curve but I have to say that I am enjoying this new challenge……. Here’s to the next 20 years!
