Young carers deserve time out from their caring role. It’s an opportunity to let off steam, try something new and build relationships with other children and young people who empathise with their situation. For many young carers, financial constraints and the needs of the person that they support can prevent them enjoying the same opportunities as their peers.

Our activities help to build skills and confidence, provide a space to chill out and encourage young carers to form lasting and supportive friendships with each other.

"I made lots of new friends and enjoyed doing different activities"

Each year, we provide social opportunities to over 300 young carers

  • local trips to the beach, parks and museums
  • drop-ins at schools and libraries
  • big summer days out to theme parks and activity centres
  • activities with specialist partners, such as woodcraft and outdoor sports

Your support can mean so much!

"How thankful I am that every time I have went out you have put a smile on my face"
